I finally blogged about our entire trip to California. 16 posts! So, you're going to have to scroll way down to get to the beginning of our vacation since it's all in chronological order. It has taken me a long time to do this, but it was so therapeutic and healing for me. I shed many tears just reliving those last weeks and days with my sister and only wish my weak attempts at journaling did them better justice. Enjoy!

I'm glad you had so many pictures of those event! I got so burned out at the wedding that I hardly took ANY at all during my last week there. I'll be stealing some and posting them on my blog. I hope you won't mind. Thanks for the great posts! Beautifully done.

You did a great job. I can only imagine the feelings that you had to go through before the wonderful finished product could be here. You are an amazing woman. Hang in there. Ginger is watching and waiting on high. Your family will be together forever, just believe. So fun to see all your family. Miss seeing you in person. Love you.

Heids, we love your blog! Keep the posts coming. This is almost as good as living closer to you. Sadly, according to your blog, we are not even related. How did you miss stopping by Utah on your family tour? We have got to get together somehow!

How wonderful to spend so much time with family! What a blessing as well to spend so much time with Ginger. It's times like these when you know our relationships with our family is really what is most important in life.
Thanks for sharing. It's so fun to keep in touch this way.
Aaaaaahhhh- Big Sigh. You did it! I knew you could. Such beautiful last earthly memories to cherish forever! What a blessing that your travels took you down here for all that time to spend here for all these events. And the beauty is, there are many more memories to create in the eternities!!
Wow, way to go! All those wonderful pictures and memories!! THanks for sharing. It is such a testimony builder to see all the tender mercies in so many people's lives before Ginger passed away. The Lord is truly in charge and aware of each of us! Thanks for sharing your beautiful family and memories with me!

That was beautiful Heidi. I LOVED all the updates. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, feelings and memories with each of us. What a blessing you were able to spend so much time with Ginger. The Lord does know the end from the beginning and is aware of each one of us. He knew you needed that time together.
I love and admire you! You have always been such a great example to me. Thanks!
I love these posts! What great memories to have. I can only imagine how painful, yet healing it must be to relive these experiences. Thank you for sharing these with us--it is so wonderful to see your beautiful photos and comments. It's fun to "get to know" your family through your blog. I'm still wondering if there is any chance that your family might be moving out here to Austin? I'm crossing my fingers (for selfish reasons of course). How fun would that be to have you in town!
Heidi, I'm glad I found your blog. I thought it was private and was hoping I could get invited somehow. :-) You did a wonderful job on all your posts. I was able to attend Ginger's funeral and it has made a lasting impact. I honestly can say I've changed some things I do for the better having known her. Please tell Don he did such a great job speaking at the funeral. I've been to my share the past few years and have to say his talk on the Plan of Salvation was so personal and good. I really appreciated it. My blog is: kkjjkent.blogspot.com if you care to keep in touch. Sending love and constant prayers...Kirsten (Lassen) Kent
Heidi- I am so glad I came across your blog. I was so sad when I heard the news about your sweet sister. She was an amazing woman! I have thought a lot about your family over the last couple of months, and pray often for you. What a wonderful trip you were blessed to have. Your family is beautiful and I love the pictures Ginger took of you and Don snuggling on the couch. What a cute couple you make! I hope all is well, and I'm glad we have blogs to keep us updated on old friends!
p.s. Do you get to play basketball anymore? I am so glad I found a group here in AZ that plays 3 days a week! They are pretty hard core, so it's a great work out! I remember the good old days playing with you and your mom in Moorpark! Take care!
Heidi,
What a darling family you have!!
I loved reading about Ginger, and I still pray for you and your family. Kristi Westberg
