Some Serious Carving Competition

The Teams and Planning Sessions......

Team 1:  Ginger and Gilli

Team 2: Ryan and Mom (me)

Team 3: Don, Davis and Ethan

The Carving..........

The Results.........

They all turned out great and we were all declared winners!  It was really fun.  I thought Don was quite clever with his "moon and stars" pumpkin because it allowed the boys to be involved without using knives!  They got to hammer the pumpkin with a screwdriver to poke holes all over it and loved it.

I'm glad you explained the boys' pumpkin. I was thinking "the pox" or something. Haha! You guys are so creative!

love the pumpkin carving competition. we were so lame this year-- we went to the patch & got pumpkins, but somehow they didn't make it out of the garage. there they sat in our red wagon. so they're all out now, uncarved, for thanksgiving!

How fun! I love the stars too! How do you always get yours to look like it is plastic and cut so perfectly smooth?

We bought one... never carved it.
